The Bethel University Men’s Bowling program signed Bolton High School standout Austin Corley Thursday. Austin is the son of Brad and Stephanie Johnston of Bartlett, Tennessee and will major in Education at Bethel.
He bowled all four years for the Wildcats and was named to the Best of the Preps team two years in a row. He placed eighth out of 650 bowlers in the U.S. Open recently. He attended the Bowling Combine in Texas as a part of his prep career.
He feels his strengths are his competitive nature and his knowledge of the game.
Bethel Coach Clay Boyd said, “We are extremely pleased Austin has decided to continue his career as a student-athlete with our program here at Bethel. He brings a strong bowling skill set and is an example of what a student-athlete should be. We look forward to working with him the next four years and feel he will be a huge part of our program.”
